I have spent 22 years in construction, bringing a wealth of hands-on knowledge and industry insight. Over that time I have run a highly successful recruitment company, and through it all I have seen every part of this industry: the ups, the downs, and exactly where things tend to go wrong.

I started Ripple (INC) LTD because after all that experience, I knew there was still a gap nobody was filling properly. I had seen how agencies operate, how they grow, how they get busy, how corners start getting cut, and I wanted to build something different. Something that stays personal. Where one person takes responsibility, knows the sectors, checks the cards properly, and gives you a straight answer rather than sending someone just to fill a slot.

This is what happens when you have done it before, learned from it, and decide to do it right from the ground up.

Why it works this way

Ripple is deliberately small, for now. You get one number and one person, and that person knows your site, your standards, and exactly which of the workers we have sent you before were the ones you asked for again.

That is not a limitation dressed up as a virtue. It is the whole point. We want to grow, but we will grow properly, keeping the personal contact, the attention to detail and the straight answer. A larger agency splits your account across a salesperson who takes the order, a resourcer who fills it, and an account manager who apologises afterwards. Every hand-off is somewhere for a detail to fall out: the card category, the gate you have to use, the fact that the last labourer they sent was turned away.

Inspiring growth

The strapline is not decoration. Growth on a construction site is not abstract. It is a package that gets delivered on programme, a contractor who can take on the next job because this one did not overrun, and a tradesperson who moves up a grade because somebody put them forward for the work that stretched them.

We are on both sides of that. Getting it right for the client and getting it right for the worker are the same job, and any agency that tells you otherwise is about to let one of them down.
